Tea Tree Oil Benefits & Giveaway!

Sponsored Post
I'm not a big fan of taking prescription drugs and/or medications. I'll take them when absolutely necessary, but for everyday ailments I often turn to herbs and essential oils.

Essential oils can be used for so many things -- from bug repellant (bye, spiders!) to home cleaner to a skin salve. And the best part? The oils are made from plants, so you don't have to worry about what you're putting on your body or in your home.

I like Apothecary Extracts because their oils are 100% all-natural, undiluted and have the smallest carbon footprint of any tea tree oil maker. I was really impressed by their oil and have already found so many uses for it.

Try out these tips:

1. Tea tree oil has soothing, antibacterial properties. Dap a drop on a pimple and watch it disappear overnight. Seriously, it works.

2. Have dandruff or an itchy scalp? Massage a few drops into your hair pre-shower for extra moisturizing powers.

3. Put a few drops on your shower floor for a hangover or flu cure. When the hot water hits the oil, the earthy mint smell will wake you up and clear your sinuses.

4. Mix 10-20 drops into a spray bottle full of water. This will disinfect and clean all surfaces in your house and make it smell SO. DAMN. GOOD.

5. Tea tree oil kills pretty much any kind of bacteria. If you're suffering from athlete's foot, ringworm, or nail fungus, try this out as a natural alternative to that nasty OTC medication.

*Tip: Because this oil is so powerful, I like to mix it with a base like coconut oil or aloe vera gel to dilute it when using topically.
