Same Dress, Two Ways

Long weekends (like this one!) are great for taking spontaneous trips. Unfortunately, sometimes you only have a short amount of time to put outfits together or limited space in your weekender bag. The solution? Re-working pieces you already have into completely new outfits with the addition of a few accessories. I shop my own closet all of the time. ;)

Take this dress, for instance. It's super cute on its own, and could easily be worn with a pair of flats, cute tennis shoes, wedges, or heels. It's so versatile, and will take you from day to night…a must when you're walking around a city and don't feel like changing. And you don't have to use this dress. You can find plenty of similar, vintage-looking ones here

These two outfits are entirely from ModCloth, because their stuff is awesome and when they contacted me about doing a blog post, I jumped on the opportunity. The outfit on the left is more of a fun day look and I'm obsessed with the grapefruit satchel. It's so summery and would be perfect for strolling around the city and taking in the sites. The look on the right is a little more dressy. I think the cardigan's mint bow is so girly! The funky lip clutch and heels keep the outfit from being too sweet.
