I am a sucker for anything covered in salted caramel. Forget pumpkin spiced lattes; you haven't lived until you've tried the salted caramel apple cider from Starbucks. There's something about it that just screams fall. The baristas were starting to judge my cider habit, so I decided to satisfy my craving elsewhere with these salted caramel apple muffins.
I adapted my recipe from this one but instead of the crumble on top, I added caramel sauce and sea salt flakes. The result? A muffin that's light enough for breakfast, but sweet enough to pass for dessert. Enjoy!
